Musician and producer Manuel Scuzzo releases his second solo album "Traumfabrik", a reinterpretation of previously created film music for the film "Traumfabrik - eine Stadt träumt sich selbst". With the help of synthesiser sounds, drum machines and samples of everyday noises, Scuzzo creates a uniquely dreamy album, far removed from the usual spherical and hazy sounds that one might first think of when setting dreams to music. Manuel Scuzzo has been active as a musician and producer in Hamburg for many years and has been involved in various musical projects such as his indie band "Misses Next Match" or the "School of Zuversicht" around DJ Patex, who died in 2023. In 2016, he founded the open collective "Spaziergäng", which initiates soundwalks and performative walks. His solo debut album "Greetings from Scuzzo", which moves musically between experimental pop, 80's electronica, ambient and easy listening, was released in 2021, followed a year later by a tape with remixes of his debut album by artists such as MPC Lafote, LeReum and Simon Ferdinand, as well as the release of the soundtrack he composed for the film "Ping Pong Split Screen". His second album "Traumfabrik", which will be released in March 2024, sets the dream phenomenon to music in an experimental and unique way that has never been heard before. The eleven tracks sound more real, more structured and more organised than the usual hazy dreamy sounds already familiar from dream soundtracks. Concentrated, sometimes funky rhythms, simple yet very exciting arrangements of instruments and samples of everyday noises make "Traumfabrik" a very wakeful dream album, whose sound is reminiscent of 80's synth and makes it easy to listen to.
