Die Sehnsucht Der Sterne ✦ Vinyl

"Die Sehnsucht der Sterne" is the third album by Jacques Palminger & 440 Hertz and a frothy bouquet of jazzy hits for melody-loving people with a gift for pleasure! Wonderfully light music with slightly wondrous lyrics. A genre of its own, a journey to the stars, from Hammerbrook to the Pleiades! Jacques Palminger & 440 Hertz do it the way only they do it. In their tiny rehearsal room in the Hochbunker on Hammer Deich, they create compositions that cannot be pigeonholed. They reflect, make hooks and captivate with a fascinating mixture of melancholy and magical jazz - their music is an invitation to escape the fast pace of everyday life and immerse yourself in a world of sound that is rich in emotion and surprises. They make no secret of the recipe for their flying ointment: melancholic inspirations, washed up by the Hamburg rain, whipped up with magic jazz! Recorded in the Bunker Studio by drummer Olve Strelow and mixed by Jörg Follert, the eight songs oscillate between dreamy lightness and powerful self-confidence. Jacques Palminger's lyrics are poetic narratives that inspire reflection and invite you to dream. Dream pop with German lyrics, sung by several voices and recorded live: Jacques Palminger & 440 Hertz scratches that one spot in the brain where jazz lovers itch the most. Jacques Palminger (Studio Braun, Carsten EROBIQUE Meyer), Lydia Schmidt, Richard von der Schulenburg (Die Sterne), Lieven Brunckhorst (Jan Delay), John Raphael Burgess (JaKönigJa) and drumming legend Olve Strelow. Their shared vision of creating dreamlike melodic music in the style of the late sixties with German lyrics and polyphonic vocals in the here and now has earned them a loyal and constantly growing fan base. Jacques Palminger & 440 Hertz transcend through their music and create an unrivalled listening experience that goes far beyond the boundaries of the ordinary.
