In twelve songs, “A Bunch Of Birds” tells of winning and losing, of fear and dancing, of being carried away and carried along. Of wonder and amazement - at night, when everyone is asleep. And of wanting to be left alone.
It is the first solo work by Ferdinand Kraemer (a. k. a. Mr. Jelly Roll from Black Patti), recorded and co-recorded by Theresa Loibl. The two are at the heart of this Munich recording project and have some familiar faces from near and far on board. They include Maria Hafner, Micha Acher, Mathias Götz, Adam Bradley Schreiber and Sebastian Wolfgruber. With voices, plucked and string instruments from small to large, wind instruments of all kinds and percussion, they all conjure up a quaint and unique world from the depths of the dimly lit junk stores.
The sound: blues, jazz, country and a little bit of calypso and cumbia.
